Berrendos Middle School

My name is Jason Dell, Berrendos Middle School’s Principal. I was raised in Tehama County and moved back after I completed my enlistment in the U.S. Army. After my time attached to the 101st Airborne Division, I was a part of a school start up to begin my teaching career at U-Prep in Redding. I taught AP World History and Ethics.  I was also the Student Government Advisor as well as the Athletic Director. After five years I took a job coordinating Dual Enrollment and Work Experience Education as a faculty member at Shasta College, where I was also the Men’s Soccer Coach.  After three years I welcomed an opportunity to teach overseas in Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Eritrea. Upon my return I secured a History teaching position at Maywood Middle School in Corning while I attended an administration credential program. Upon completion I was hired as an Assistant Principal at Woodson Elementary in Corning.  I was soon elevated to Principal and served a seven years as admin of the school.

 

I am married to my beautiful wife Jenny, who is an intervention teacher. We have two wonderful daughters, Lily and Violet.  I am very excited to be the Principal at Berrendos and a part of Antelope School District. I am looking forward to the opportunity to work with the amazing students and staff.
